The carriage barn kept horses for a century; now it keeps the house’s grandest suite. A beamed sitting room with a woodstove opens to a bedroom under the old hayloft rafters, and a freestanding soaking tub sits beneath a skylight that fills with stars. A private door gives onto the walled garden — yours alone after the kitchen closes.

Good to know
Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. The front desk is staffed twenty-four hours, so a late arrival is no trouble — tell us your train or your road and we’ll be ready. Early check-in and late check-out are offered when the day’s schedule allows; just ask.
For our flexible rate, cancel more than 14 days before arrival for a full refund of your deposit; within 14 days, the deposit is retained. Non-refundable rates are charged in full at booking and cannot be changed or cancelled. A 50% deposit is taken at the time of reservation on flexible rates.
Dogs are welcome in select rooms — the Carriage House Suite and the Gatehouse Cottage — by advance request. There is a $50 per-night cleaning fee per dog, and dogs may not be left unattended in rooms. The fourteen acres are very much theirs to enjoy.
